England coach Gareth Southgate says Jadon Sancho's training performances have improved over the last week.
Sancho impressed during England's 5-0 win over Andorra on Sunday, and Southgate has urged patience with the 21-year-old as he edges closer to completing a move to Manchester United.
"Jadon's training performances have improved over the last week," Southgate said. "He's a young player who is still learning and developing, and we need to be patient with him."
"He's a very talented player, and I'm sure he will be a valuable asset to Manchester United."
Southgate has named a large 33-man training squad because England are sweating over the fitness of several players ahead of Euro 2024.
Sancho has responded to Southgate's comments about his performance in England training as he edges closer to completing a move to Manchester United.
"I'm grateful for the manager's support," Sancho said. "I'm working hard in training and I'm determined to show what I can do."
"I'm excited about the prospect of joining Manchester United and I'm looking forward to the challenge."
